Totally Dissatisfied Customer

ShockedAngryI purchased a Brand New "SW2 Skycaddie Watch" in 2019 and never used it because I didn't have the time to Golf. So earlier this year in 2021 I decided to start using it. I never could get it to SYNC by USB or Bluetooth. I spent hours on the phone being instructed on how to SYNC it to no avail. Finally, the solution was for me to at my expense, to ship it to them with a paid return postage. Months went by and when I finally reached them, they told me that they couldn't SYNC it either! Then they had the unmitigated gall, to ask me what did I want them to do? Ship it back to me or Discard it? But they did offer me a $50 Trade In Value for.....wait for it...another Skycaddie Watch. I told her she must think I'm an idiot. "Send me my watch that I already paid the postage for, and I will never purchase another product from them" Do Not Ever Purchase A Product From This Company. Angry

User's recommendation: Do Not Buy From This Company...They do not stand behind their product.

*** iOS App and support

Impossible to use app while golfing - continually wants to connect to cloud, takes minutes to change hole selection, and sometimes can't even do that. Doesn't matter if you turn of live update option - will still sync with cloud. Support is useless - don't even know how the software works. Don't buy it - get a garmin or other device!

User's recommendation: Don't buy this if you have an iPhone!

Linx watch is a waste of money

I bought a linx watch and found that the battery would last only one round of golf. A complained about that immediately and was told that I needed to reset it. I stopped using it and bought a Garmin that works perfectly. I decided to give the watch to my grandson and asked if there was any way to extend the battery life and was told to buy a new watch. They cannot replace a battery. A waste of $160.00 dollars

Worst systemic customer service

I just got off the phone with the Geneice, the customer service supervisor at Skygolf. This group is another glaring example of another organization that does not understand the meaning of "customer service". Skygolf sells what is one of the more expensive golf gps devices in the market, taking into accounts its annual subscription costs. I don't necessarily mind paying a premium cost for a quality product, but I do expect to receive commensurate customer service. The "hole" button cover on my SGXW fell off and was lost. When I contacted Skygolf to source the replacement part or repair, I was advised that they do not stock, nor sell these parts. I was advised that my options were to replace the gps device with a new or refurbished device. So I ask the obvious question " How do you refurbish units for resale without having these parts?" The long silent pause tells a story of its own, but the representative simply repeated that they do not stock, nor sell these parts. Well, I recall Skygolf's advertisements offering trade-in deals to upgrade your device. Logic prevails, if they are accepting trade-ins, they have a facility somewhere that may stock those parts for refurbishing devices. When I asked for contact information to speak with someone at that, or one of those, facilities I was told that this would not be possible. So I have deduced that to this point, Skygolf's "customer service department" has provided not a single effort to assist me other than an offer to sell me another device, after all that would certainly boost company revenue and thereby increase the likelihood of her received an enhanced bonus. Well, as a fairly long term customer, how could I in good conscious justify purchasing another device from a company like Skygolf that does not support its product and attempts to leverage what is an out of warranty manufacturing defect into a product sales opportunity.......You guessed correct, I can't........ Good customer service must extend beyond the time of sale! I would have been thankful to purchase a used button cover from their trade-in/refurbishing center(s) The good news is that the gps will still function and I have over a year of subscription remaining. Plenty of time to share my story and provide recommendations based on my personal experiences. Sincerely, John Wilmoth Baltimore, MD

SkyCaddie / SkyTrak / SkyGolf.... Horrible Customer Service

SkyCaddie / SkyTrak / SkyGolf.... Horrible Customer Service
I recently had a shoulder injury that would require surgery and a 6 month recovery time frame. I have been a customer of SkyCaddie /SkyGolf for numerous years, owning all of their hand held GPS devices throughout the years upgrading to every new device that they offered. I also own the SkyTrak golf simulator as I have a simulation room in my house... I asked if they could freeze my membership until I can swing my clubs again, and the answer was simple NO.... They wouldn't do anything for me, so basically I lose all the time that I had paid for. Be careful with this company, I will not be renewing my membership once healed. There are so many other options out there now. If anyone wants to purchase a SkyTrak that I bought a few months ago, please reach out. Buyer Beware.

Wow, I would think a company as reputable as SkyCaddie would offer more help to their customers, that's bad service. Thanks for the input.
